An Effective Hair Care Routine To Get Beautiful Hair 8
A hair care routine is as important as a skincare routine or fitness routine. It is inevitable to go outside for work or other related business, so our hairs do get exposed to dust, pollutants, sun rays, and other environmental factors. This exposure may lead to many hair-related problems like thinning, breaking, and split-ends due to the weakening of hairs. So having a proper hair care routine for hair growth is a must to keep your hair beautiful and healthy.
Let us discuss an effective hair care routine steps to achieve healthy and shiny hair.
It is important to oil your hair at least twice a week. You can choose any natural hair like olive oil, coconut oil, or almond oil, or you can mix these oils in equal quantity and apply them on your scalp overnight or at least for 45 minutes to 1 hour before taking a shower.
Generally, it is ok to shampoo 2-3 times a week for normal hair, but this may vary as per the individual hair type. Make sure your shampoo is sulfate-free, as shampoos that have sulfate or other harsh chemicals can badly damage your hair.
Pro Tip: Also, it is good to untangle your hair before you shampoo because it will avoid hair fall during shampooing and later on when you comb your hair.
Take a sufficient amount of conditioner in your palms, gently rub it between your hands and apply it to your hairs properly. Always try to avoid applying the shampoo on your scalp as it may get absorbed by your skin which is not good. Instead, apply the conditioner only on your hairs from top to bottom.
DryingAfter you are done with the conditioning part, let your hair dry naturally. Don’t try to do it forcefully, and don’t use a hairdryer unless and until you have to go to a party or somewhere and you are short of time. Wrap your hair in a microfiber towel, and when you unwrap it, don’t put force on it to dry it.
Once your hair has dried up, you can apply a good hair serum on your hair. Simply take a sufficient amount of hair serum in your hands, rub it between your palms and apply it to your hair. Again don’t apply the hair serum to your scalp.
As a part of your daily hair routine, try to use a wooden comb with a big bristle having sufficient gaps to untangle your hair. Don’t use a hair comb with thin bristles. Also, one important thing to remember is don’t comb your hair when they are still wet. Wait for some time let your hair dry before you actually untangle or comb your hair.
To repair your hair from the damage caused by dust, sun rays, and pollutants. You can use a hair mask 2-3 times a month. A hair mask can be prepared at home, or if you don’t have the time and patience to do the same, you can buy a good hair mask from the market. Make sure to check the reviews before you use them.
How to Know your scalp type?
As mentioned above, follow your natural hair care routine, and don’t do any heavy exercise for the next 8-10 hours to avoid excessive sweating. Now, take a dry tissue paper and rub it gently on your scalp multiple times. Try to rub it throughout your scalp, and if you don’t see any oil on the tissue paper, then your scalp type is dry. If you do observe oil in some parts of the tissue in moderate quantities, then your scalp type is a combination type. On the other hand, if there is too much hair on the tissue, then your scalp type is oily.
Bonus Tip: It is good to warm the hair oil before applying it to your hair as it will allow the oil to get absorbed in the hair follicles completely, which will allow your hair skin to absorb all the nutrients of the hair oil for maximum effect.
